Arrival → Negombo
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and meet your friendly driver guide, who will accompany you throughout your journey. After a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Negombo, take time to settle in and relax after your long flight. Negombo offers a gentle introduction to Sri Lanka, with a sandy coastline, seafood restaurants and a calm beachfront atmosphere. You may unwind in your room, enjoy the sea breeze or explore the hotel grounds as you ease into your holiday at a slow and comfortable pace.
Dambulla Cave Temple → Sigiriya
After breakfast, travel inland toward the Cultural Triangle, watching the scenery shift from coastline to rural greenery. Your main stop is the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site with ancient murals, intricate statues and peaceful cave shrines. It provides beautiful insight into Sri Lanka's Buddhist heritage. Continue to Sigiriya and check in at your hotel, where you can rest by the pool or enjoy the natural surroundings as you prepare for the next day's exploration.
Sigiriya Rock Fortress & Village Cooking → Minneriya Safari
Begin the day by climbing the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, or admire its surrounding gardens if you prefer a gentler experience. Later, enjoy an authentic village experience that includes a tranquil lake boat ride, a short buffalo cart journey and a traditional Sri Lankan lunch cooked the old fashioned way. In the afternoon, head to Minneriya National Park for a relaxing jeep safari where you can observe elephants and other wildlife in their natural environment, surrounded by forest and open grasslands.
Sigiriya → Kandy (Temple & Cultural Show)
Leave Sigiriya and travel to Kandy, the cultural and spiritual heart of Sri Lanka. Your visit to the Temple of the Tooth offers a look into the country's deep Buddhist traditions, with its historic relics, shrines and serene atmosphere. In the evening, enjoy a Kandyan cultural dance show featuring traditional drums, costumes and energetic performances. Kandy → Tea Country → Scenic Train to Ella
Head into Sri Lanka's cool central highlands, passing tea gardens and cascading waterfalls. Enjoy a tasting before continuing to the station for the scenic train ride to Ella one of the world's most beautiful rail journeys. Bentota is known for its calm waters and soft sand, making it ideal for travellers wanting a restful seaside day. With no scheduled activities, you can take things slow and fully unwind in a comfortable, beachfront setting.
Madu River Safari
Start your day with a scenic boat safari along the Madu River, a peaceful wetland area filled with mangroves, birdlife and tiny islands. Bentota → Galle Fort → Colombo

Departure
After breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, you may enjoy a brief city drive or quick shopping stop before transferring to the airport.
